Frequently Asked Questions:

Q.  Where do you play and how often?

A.  We play every Tuesday starting in April through the end of October.  We play at the Willows Run Golf Complex in Redmond, Washington.  We alternate each week between the two 18-hole courses there:  Eagle's Talon and Coyote Creek.

Q.  What if I can't play every Tuesday?  Can I still join?

A.  Of course!  We would enjoy meeting you.  Most of our members are not able to play every Tuesday.

Q.  How much does it cost?

A.  Our 2024 annual dues are $35.00 if you already have an established GHIN handicap.  If you do not, then your annual dues are $74 which would include a GHIN (handicap).  Greens fees are paid at the course on day of play.

Q.  I'm just learning to play golf.  Is this a good group for me to join?

A.  Our members have handicaps ranging from the low teens to the low 40s.  We recommend that new members have played multiple 18-hole rounds, have a basic understanding of the Rules of Golf as well as proper golf etiquette.  If you are new to golf, Willows Run GC has an Executive 9 par-3 course that would be a good place to start.  We also recommend that beginners invest in golf lessons.

Q. Do you need a handicap?

A. You do not need a handicap prior to joining our league.  You are expected to post all of your rounds once you join the league and this will establish your handicap.  You must have a GHIN number which is purchased when you join our league or can be purchased from another course.

Q. Are carts available or required?

A. Carts (for a fee) are available at the course. Willows is a flat, walkable course.  Most of our members choose to walk, but we also have members that regularly take a cart.

Q.  What competitions are available?

A.  EWGL has membership in both the GSWPGA (Greater Seattle Women's Public Golf Association) and the WSWPLA (Washington State Women's Public Links Association).  Both these organizations hold tournaments that our members are eligible to play in.  Further, the GSWPGA has a club to club TEAM match play competition in which we participate.
